Applied Information at ITS World Congress 2025

Applied Information® welcomed the world to Atlanta this year for ITS World Congress. It was a great opportunity to connect with other people passionate about saving lives and improving traffic, whether through conversations at our booth, video interviews, or tours of the Infrastructure Automotive Technology Laboratory (iATL®). If you spoke to us at the conference, reach out – we’d love to hear from you. Read on for news, industry conversations, and ways to book your own tours of our working connected vehicle lab.

A Strong Start with Tech Tours

On Sunday, we welcomed over 100 attendees from around the world to the iATL, a first-of-its-kind connected vehicle laboratory only 45 minutes from the conference center. The laboratory’s technology runs in the streets of Alpharetta, GA, giving attendees a hands-on look at how connected vehicle applications are transforming everyday travel for real people.

The tour began before even entering the building. Upon arrival, attendees went on a preemption run through local intersections, so they could see firsthand the benefits it gives to first responders in Alpharetta and throughout North America. After disembarking, they took a tour of the lab, where they could speak to experts about the impact of Glance® on communities. Drivers took attendees on a demo drive through the streets of Alpharetta to see real, functioning connected vehicle solutions:

  • School zone safety alerts
  • School bus alerts and warnings
  • Work truck alerts
  • Pedestrian in crosswalk alerts
  • Red light running warnings
  • Get Ready for Green™ notifications

Throughout the conference, other attendees returned to the iATL for private tours and demonstrations. If you want to see the difference Glance and Works with Glance products can make, contact us to book your visit. The iATL is open year-round for tours and demonstrations.

New Partnership Helps Traffic Talk to the People

During the conference, Applied Information and Monotch announced their partnership to connect Glance and Monotch’s TLEX data sharing layer. This connection enables easier data sharing between agencies, in-vehicle information applications, and OEMs.

Combined, the partnership aims to accelerate the deployment of connected vehicles in Europe and the US, bringing the benefits of connected vehicle messaging to more road users.
