Applied Information has been awarded the contract for the control system for the new Precinct Traffic Signs around Cape Town Stadium. This stadium recently hosted the semi-final of the Soccer World Cup. The project is unique in that it combines the control of conventional traffic signs (amber LED) and full color video displays (including the capability of providing live video) into one system. The system is controlled by Glance, which is Applied Information’s web based platform for digital content distribution, industrial monitoring, and traffic management. The project is scheduled for completion in July 2013.
