Automakers, cellular network operators, traffic control device companies and semiconductor manufacturers now have a single technology hub to create, develop and test connected vehicle safety applications with the opening of a new facility in Georgia, USA.

State officials Tuesday showed off some of the high-tech wizardry that’s making it easier to drive in metro Atlanta traffic — and announced more of that technology is on the way.

In what is said to be the first in the world to do so, the Infrastructure-Automotive Technology Laboratory (iATL) aims to bring together auto, technology and communications industries in one laboratory……

The iATL initiative aims to solve challenges to help connected and autonomous vehicles talk to traffic signals……

At last week’s Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2020) in Las Vegas, connected intelligent transportation systems and infrastructure developer, Applied Information Inc.
